What does arithmetic mean?
Think of your test scores. Sometimes you get a high score, sometimes a low one. You calculate your average score to get a general idea of how you performed.
It’s a simple way to find a “middle” value for a set of numbers.
How do I calculate it?
- Add up all the numbers.
- Count how many numbers you added.
- Divide the total by the count.
Example:
Imagine you got these marks in your tests: 75, 80, 92, and 85.
- Add the scores: 75 + 80 + 92 + 85 = 332
- Count the number of tests: 4
- Divide the total by the count: 332 / 4 = 83
So, your average score (Arithmetic Mean) is 83!
Why is it Important?
- It helps you understand your overall performance.
- Used in many areas like economics, statistics, and daily life.
